The past 3 months have been very busy and God has done much.  We continue to see growth in the lives of our disciples. 

Interns (those living in one of our ministry homes or have committed at least 20 hours to the discipleship program a week)

The hours upon hours of biblical training has definitely challenged and grown their understanding of God’s word.  The areas of studies for the past 5 months have been, the book of Ephesians, Soteriology( the doctrine of salvation),  and New Testament Survey. 

Four of our young men (Correy, Josh, Mikey and Lincoln) have committed for a second year and we are excited to see how God will continue to grow them.  Please pray for Seth & Ben as they will be finishing their time with us in May and heading back home to further their education.  Our young women Jill & Tina are currently preparing for the arrival of Beki a new intern from Ireland.  Beki will be joining us in April so please pray for continued fundraising and travel. 

Discipleship (people we meet with weekly)

We continue to see a steady increase in the number of young adults that we disciple , these young adults live in the community and have become part of our ministry as they have ask us to train them up in the Lord. We have launched our young adult’s ministry called Mosaic that meets on Thursday nights, we have seen 15 to 20 young adults coming out, please continue to pray for the young that God has brought for us to disciple. Our two ministries homes continue to be local meeting places for young adults and we are taken back by the desire of these young adults to be disciple at a deep level.

Programs

God’s Boys one of our young men Josh has been running a Saturday morning breakfast and devotional time for young men in the surrounding areas.  This is a time for young men to eat together and talk about how God is working in their lives and to encourage each other not to give up. 

God’s Closet one of our young women Jill has a deep compassion for the homeless and leads our God’s Closet ministry which is designed to meet the needs of the poor in the community.  We do this thru the collection of mainly clothes and then monthly opening the doors of our church and having the poor come in to receive what they need.  We have been amazed by both those who have given and those who have come to receive from God’s Closet. 

Speaking and Teaching

Our calendar is becoming very busy as we prepare for a summer of speaking and teaching.  We have just completed a 6 week series (Lessons in Discipleship) with one of our local churches.  We just completed a weekend CD release party with POLEN (Christian worship band).  Overall the weekend drew 600 to 700 people from the community who had the opportunity to experience a night of worship and a message from the off the wall staff.  Over the past couple months we have spoken at New Grounds Café Sunday Night Live and we will continue that monthly.  We have also completed a couple of high school retreats and speaking engagements and college campuses.
